Charity Bibs must become a fundraiser and raise the committed amount of funds required for their bib.
Vacation Races is partnered with the National Park Foundation to support our mission of park promotion and preservation! By registering for this race, you have the opportunity to join the #FindYourPark movement by donating to the National Park Foundation. Vacation Races will pay for all the processing fees and administrative costs, so that means 100% of your donation will benefit the National Park Foundation. However, because the donations are made through our registration system they will not be tax deductible.
As part of our ongoing effort to raise money for the National Parks, we’re excited to offer Charity Bibs for the Grand Canyon Half Marathon!
Registering for a charity bib is a serious commitment.
Don't take it lightly.
By claiming a charity bib you're committing to raise $1000 through our registration system. 100% of the money raised will be used to support Grand Canyon National Park.
HOW IT WORKS
First, select the “charity bib” option when you register for the race.
Once you've registered, you are committed to raise $1000. You'll have until 2 weeks before race weekend to raise the required funds. You’ll be provided a link to share where people can donate and contribute to the $1000.
If by the deadline you are short of the $1000, you will be charged the remainder. (For example, if you raise $900 by the deadline, you'll will be charged $100.) If you raise the full $1000 or more, you will not be charged anything.
Your Charity Bib registration includes everything that a standard registration includes, so you’ll be asked things like preferred shirt size, hydration method, etc.
We’re excited about this opportunity to raise additional money for Grand Canyon National Park and to do some good!
