Waiver for In-Person Run

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant, and covenant as follows:

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. 

I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that participation in this event includes the possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19 and its variants.  I also acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that while particular rules, protocols, guidelines, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers of the Janney 5K & Fun Run, and all other sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purposes. I understand that organizers will make every effort to conduct the race as planned, if the race must be cancelled, there will be no refunds.

I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, video, or any likeness of me that I may share online as part of the event, personal data provided during registration and post-event reporting, video or audio recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.  I understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is canceled before or during the event.

I represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to complete this event registration on behalf of myself and/or any party I register (the "Registered Parties"), including full authority to make use of the credit or debit card to which registration fees will be charged. If I am registering a child under the age of 18 or an incapacitated adult I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of that party and I have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf and by proceeding with this event registration, I agree that the terms of this Agreement and Waiver shall apply equally to all Registered Parties. By registering a child under 13, I agree and consent to the collection of that child's information which you provide for the purposes of registration.
