Late Registration Allowed As Spots Are Available
Fun kid-friendly practices for both novice and experienced athletes. Under the guidance of a triathlon coach and parent bicycle volunteers, participants will improve swim skills, basic bike skills, running technique, understand how to transition from one sport to the next, and train in all three triathlon disciplines.
Requirements:
- Girls / Boys, Ages 7-17
- Participants must be able to swim 50yrds freestyle, 25yrd backstroke, ride a bicycle w/o training wheels, confidently turn, travel up and downhill, and hold a current USAT Triathlon membership or sign up on line for a $10 USAT yearly membership. A water safety test will be given at the beginning of the first swim practice.*
- Registration Fee: $145.00(Processing fees apply). Please note that the race is an additional fee separate from the race fee so be sure to sign up for the race prior to race day. You are allowed to sign up for training without competing in the race and vice versa.
- Participants must hold a valid non-expired USA Triathlon membership throughout the training session. An annual USAT youth membership can be purchased for $10 through registration or through USAT without any processing fees.
- A parent will need to volunteer for at least 2 bike practices. Parents can bring their own bike or a bike will be provided for them. Parents will get a little biking in themselves, encourage the kids, and post up at turn around points to monitor and safely direct our kid riders.

*Please know that the Las Vegas Kids Triathlon Club training groups are not learn to swim programs. An unassisted safety swim test of comfortably swimming 50yrds freestyle and 25yrds backstroke will be given right at the start of the first practice. Safety is the number 1 concern, not technique, although form and technique are taught. If a participant cannot swim these distance comfortably on the first day of practice then they will be unable to attend swim practices for the safety of themselves and all other participants. There will be no full or partial refunds for participants who are unable to make the swim practices, however, we would like them to still participate in the bike and run practices.
