In consideration of this entry being accepted I hereby for myself, heirs, executors, and administrators do legally waive and release any claims I may have against Literacy Volunteers of Morris County, Interfaith Food Pantry, Sports Action Reaction LLC, BestLife.Events, Township of Morris, USA Track and Field, USATF-NJ, B.E.S.T. Systems LLC, and any and all Parties, Groups, Organizations, Volunteers, Employees, Sponsors, and (or) any Representatives involved in the Read Feed Run Turkey Trot events for any and all injuries that may be suffered by me or damages to my property in relation to my participation or attendance in this event whether in-person on the event date(s), in any of the related virtual activities offered remotely, and/or through any in-person supplemental activities related to this event. I acknowledge and understand that running, walking, and fitness activities/events may present certain health or safety risks including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions; I assume these risks and waive any and all claims; and I agree I am responsible for my own well-being. I certify that I am physically and medically able to participate in this event and I agree to abide by all decisions of any event official relative to my ability to safely participate in or attend the event.
I understand safety is the top priority of this event and that numerous health and safety rules/guidelines have been put in place by the event management team. I understand and agree to abide by and cooperate with all instructions/decisions/rules of the event management team as posted on the event website, in emails/texts, in this waiver, and/or via announcements on event day as they pertain to safety at the live event(s), in respect to covid-19/health for both the live event(s) and virtual activities, and agree to follow all local regulations at the event site and on any route designated by the event organizers or by myself if participating virtually. Furthermore, I understand the risks and possibility of contracting covid-19 or any other virus or illness at an in-person gathering and take personal responsibility for that risk. I understand that dogs, other pets, in-line skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters and similar devices are not allowed on the live event courses.
In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event I hereby authorize and give my consent to the event management team to secure medical treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.
By providing my email address I agree to receive emails regarding this or similar events by Sports Action Reaction/BestLife.Events and any co-hosting organizations of this event. I grant full permission to use any photos, video, recording, or other record of my attendance at or participation in any and all activities related to this event for legitimate purposes without compensation or remuneration, including those shared by me on the events' social media pages, by using the events' hashtag, or submitted in any other way to race officials such as by email.
By agreeing to this waiver, I certify that I am either over 18 years of age or that I am the parent/legal guardian of this registrant who is under 18 and agree on their behalf. I understand my entry fee is non-refundable for any/all reasons including event cancellation due to extreme weather or air quality, COVID-19 or other public health and safety concerns, as mandated by local, state, or federal authorities, or due to other unforeseen circumstances beyond the event management teams’ control. In the event of cancellation or reduced gathering limits, I understand my in-person registration may be converted to a virtual registration.
