Why run for survivors?

1 in 3 U.S. women will experience physical intimate partner violence*
1 in 4 U.S. men will experience physical intimate partner violence*
1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men will experience RAPE in their lifetime*
6700+ Crisis Line calls in 2018
45,000+ Safe Bed Nights in 2018
Established in 1978 as a rape crisis hotline and domestic violence shelter, Stand Up Placer has been serving Placer County for 41 years. In the past three years, our services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking have more than tripled. We served twice as many survivors of human trafficking in 2018 than the same time in 2017. Violence has escalated at epidemic rates both in numbers of victims and in the level of trauma each victim has experienced.

Our Safe House provides an emergency shelter for those fleeing life threatening situations. A confidential 24-hour crisis line provides round the clock support to those seeking assistance. As the Rape Crisis Center for Placer County, we are members of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and provide support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. With therapy services, support groups, legal advocacy services, skills training, a drop-in center and a rapid re-housing program, we provide a comprehensive suite of services to help survivors heal and build healthy new lives.

Why sponsor or be a vendor?

1. Associate yourself with an agency that saves lives, empowers survivors and is helping to build a more educated and responsible community for your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
2. Provide much needed funds to support flexibility in meeting the ever-changing demands of survivors and reducing uncertainty of programs at risk.
3. Promote your business in places and situations that provides exposure to hundreds of potential customers and supporters.
4. Media exposure and community involvement
5. Local action on critical national issues is good for building awareness and shows the community you care.

What are you waiting for? Can we count on you? Reserve your spot today!! We look forward to seeing you there!
