The SQUARE COURSE

This obstacle course adds another level of cross-training and competition with tire flipping (pick from car and Jeep/truck tires), a 3-cone shuttle run, and an under-the-net crawl. Everyone is encouraged to experience this timed obstacle course!

Food and Drink

• Free pancake breakfast for all 5K/2K registrants (from 7 am to 10 am)  sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Placentia 
• Italian Ice by You Had Me at Cool  
• Refreshing water by Yorba Linda Water District 

Live Entertainment & DJ

• Student performers include the drumline from Tuffree Middle School, National Anthem Singer (Natalie Carmona), Student Rock Band, the Chicken Nuggets on a Tuesday (CNOT) plays covers from Guns N’Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Dorothy, as well as their first original song “Don’t Hold Back”. Recent concert venues include The Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, House of Blues in Anaheim, Chain Reaction in Anaheim, and upcoming The Glasshouse in Pomona. Drummers Ezra Craig and Kyle Gaerlan, bassist Eli Kashou, guitarists Gannon Briones and Cooper Langworthy, keyboardist Presley Langworthy, and powerhouse vocalist Emily Kashou have been together since 2021 and is based in Yorba Linda, CA and more!

For $550 Sponsor a Running Club and Change Lives

• Your organization can sponsor a team of 20 student runners from a PYLUSD School Running Club! This sponsorship gives opportunities to students who may not have the chance to participate. It also provides motivation for schools to create or continue a running club, energizing students to join, practice, and live healthy lifestyles.

• Our Sponsors' logo and name will be listed on the Run Signup Registration website, REACH website, E-Book, and on a 3' flag (2 sponsors per 3' flag) attached to the bottom of a Middle School Flag (see above picture). 

What's Happening in 2024?

Reaching New Heights and Elevating Healthy Lifestyles

• Create teams of 5 to 10 members to represent your Office, Department, Sports Team, or Class. Teams can be coed, female, or male.


• All races will be timed, including the 5k, 2k, and Square Course.

• Schools earning the most points from the races will be awarded the highly coveted Championship Perpetual Trophies and bragging rights for the best Elementary School, Middle School, and High School!

Represent Your School!

If you are a PYLUSD student, select your school when registering. The Shamrock 'n Run Perpetual Trophy (and bragging rights!) will be awarded to the Elementary, Middle School, or High School with the most points earned from their respective participants.

Create Your Team!

Invite your friends, sports teams, co-workers, neighbors, or relatives to join your team on a healthy adventure for a great cause! There are 3 categories: female, male or coed teams. Captains can set up and coordinate the team through RunSignUp.com. Teams can be created and/or joined during or after the registration process.
