The Markel Corporate Run has it all!

Promote health in the workplace, build corporate pride, or just get outdoors with friends! Whether you join us at the Innsbrook Office Park or take part virtually, we invite you to run, walk, network, and have fun at the Markel Corporate Run on June 6!

This event is a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity! Teams are treated to a pre-race warm-up before the 5k begins. Following the run or walk, individuals can head into the Hirschler Post Race Office Party to cash in their drink ticket for a complimentary beer or wine. To top it all off, a DJ is responsible for keeping the crowd pumped before, during, and after the 5k!

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for safe and accessible bike and pedestrian infrastructure, offer free fitness classes, support running and fitness clubs at area schools, and develop fun, new participatory events for our entire community.

Rules

PROHIBITED ON COURSE: Baby joggers/strollers/carriers/harnesses, bicycles, roller & in-line skates, & dogs.

NO ALCOHOL may be consumed before the event. NO outside alcohol.

Minimum age: 8 years old. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Everyone must vacate the post-race area by 10 PM.

Cancellation Policy

Entry fees are non-refundable, even in the case of a race cancellation, postponement, event format changes, &/or if you are unable to participate. Race numbers & entries cannot be transferred to another person. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, & you may not give or sell your number to anyone else. Anyone found participating with another person’s number will be disqualified & both people will be barred from future Sports Backers events.
