Waiver of Liability and Release – 2024 Gazelle Foundation “Run For the Water” Events
I understand and acknowledge that I am legally agreeing to the statements in the following paragraphs of this Waiver Agreement by affixing my signature below and that Gazelle Foundation is accepting these statements. In consideration for this Waiver Agreement, the Gazelle Foundation is (i) issuing me a single event license or permit, and/or (ii) permitting me to participate in a Gazelle Foundation Run For The Water event (including but not limited to the 10-Mile, 5K, Kids K and Global Runs).
1. I acknowledge and ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS and aspects of an Event. I acknowledge that running, walking and other portions of an Event are inherently dangerous, and I understand that I will be participating in an Event at my own risk, that I am responsible for the risk of participation in an Event, and that I am waiving and releasing my legal rights to sue for any injury or damages arising out of or resulting from my participation in an Released Parties Event.
2. I HEREBY WAIVE, RELEASE, and FOREVER DISCHARGE the sponsors, officials, owners of the facilities used for this race and any and all groups, people or facilities connected with all events part of Gazelle Foundation’s Run For The Water. From any liability for damages due to injury sustained by me during the race event. This includes but is not limited to Gazelle Foundation, Road Runners Club of America, City of Austin, RaceWorks Inc., all Event sponsors producers, staff, administrators, officials, contractors, vendors, and organizers volunteers, public officials, emergency responders, all other persons or entities involved with the Event. 3. I GRANT to Event organizers, Gazelle Foundation, and their licensees the right, permission, and authority to use my name, voice, picture, likeness, or photograph, email in any broadcast, telecast, commercial advertisement, promotion, or other account of an Event, and I WAIVE any rights to compensation to which I might otherwise have been entitled for such use.
4. I agree that any alcoholic beverages I consume at the Event are my own choice and responsibility. I agree to drink responsibility and will not drive if I am intoxicated. I assume full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with my consumption of alcohol. I understand that this Event is a drug-free and I agree not to use drugs at any time or place associated with any Event. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in the Event.
