PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
In consideration of my acceptance of entry and participation in this 5K Road Race, I hereby knowingly
and voluntarily waive, release, and discharge the Event Director, RunSignup.com, event sponsors, host
organizations, municipalities, property owners, volunteers, employees, contractors, medical personnel,
and all other persons or entities involved in the organization or conduct of the event (“Released
Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liabilities arising out of or related to my
participation, to the fullest extent permitted by New York law.

I understand that participation in a 5K road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I assume all risks
associated with participation, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants or
vehicles, traffic hazards, weather conditions, uneven surfaces, course obstacles, and exposure to
illness or communicable diseases. These risks are inherent and voluntarily accepted.

I certify that I am physically fit, medically able, and properly trained to participate and agree to abide by
all decisions of race officials regarding my ability to safely participate or continue the event.

In the event of illness or injury, I authorize event officials to obtain emergency medical treatment on my
behalf. I understand that I am solely responsible for all medical expenses incurred, including
transportation, treatment, and hospitalization.

I agree to comply with all applicable federal, New York State, and local safety and public health
guidelines and event rules in effect at the time of the event.

I grant permission for the use of my name, image, likeness, voice, photographs, video, and race results
for legitimate promotional and reporting purposes without compensation.

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The event may be modified, postponed, or
canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control. No refunds will be issued under any
circumstances.

By registering, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver. For
participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree on the minor’s behalf
