50-miles: Hazelwood Loop Trail
Not unlocked yet!

Milestone for Friends of the Forest

This team hasn’t reached this milestone yet.

50-miles! That is a HUGE accomplishment! Way to go! We hope you have had as much fun these last 50-miles as we have!  We have been watching people absolutely crush their goals.

We want to continue to celebrate with you. Post a picture of where your 50-miles took you and remember to tag us  and don’t forget to use the hashtag #runningwild.

Welcome to the Hazelwood Loop Trail - this one of the accessible trails in the Giant Forest. Others include the General Sherman Tree, the Big Trees Trail, and the Beetle Rock Vista. As you travel around the Hazelwood Loop you are treated with views of not only giant sequoias but a mixed conifer forest. During the fall months colors of red, orange, and yellow sprinkle the trail with color. In late July you’ll be greeted with beautiful sneezeweed (like sunflowers) in the small meadow nearby.

Check out the parks Accessibility Film Series to see how the Park Service is working hard to make Sequoia and Kings Canyon more accessible!

Remember, we are here for you every step of the way - don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding your race!

You’ve got this!
