You've made it to The Dalles! While this can be a perilous crossing, you and your hearty team are prepared for the challenge.

The Dalles, named by fur trappers for the French word for gutters, is an area where the Columbia River flows through narrow, rocky channels. In order to continue on your journey, you'll have to float your wagon down the mighty Columbia River on rafts. Mind the rocks!
