RECLAIM 13
"13" is the average age of entry into the commercial sex industry. Our goal is to “Reclaim” a child’s right to grow up feeling safe, loved, and free from harm. We work in the areas of healing, prevention, and education in and around Chicagoland. Reclaim13 is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
There are less than 200 beds available to minors who are victims of sex trafficking in the United States. In Illinois, there are less than 15.
There is an enormous need for housing victims of child sex trafficking. Once rescued, these children deserve true love and a safe, nurturing environment to grow and learn.
Cherish House from Reclaim13 is envisioned as a long-term, trauma-informed, residential treatment facility dedicated to giving girls who are rescued victims of child sex trafficking a place of love, support, and emotional healing. The girls will be supported by a highly qualified, trauma-informed staff who will show the girls true love, teaching them life skills and eventually moving them beyond a life of sexual exploitation.
