2025 Relentless Rumble Relay

Welcome to The Rumble — The Fastest Race in Charleston

Get ready for a high-energy, elimination-style relay race unlike anything Charleston has seen. Set in the heart of historic downtown at Hampton Park, The Rumble is a 3-stage, team relay packed with speed, strategy, and spectacle.

Expect a race-day experience like no other:
- Live DJ
- Athlete recovery zone
- Spectator tent
- In-race expo
- Killer swag bags
- Over $1,500 in cash prizes ($500 for each division winning team)

 
How The Rumble Works:
Each team consists of 2 runners. Together, you’ll compete in 3 rounds of 1-mile relay loops:

- Runner 1 runs 1 mile → hands off to Runner 2 for 1 mile
- Your combined time = team’s time for the round
- After each round, the top 50% of teams advance one round closer to the grand prize

The final round (Round 3) determines division champions.

 
Divisions & Prizes:
Teams choose one of three divisions:

- Men’s
- Women’s
- Mixed

$500 to the winner of each division (Total Purse: $1,500)

Even if your team is eliminated from the grand prize before the final, you’re still eligible for:

- Age Group Awards (based on total team age & 3-round time)
- Fastest Mile Award (Individual & team)
- Closest Predicted Time 
- Best Team Coordination

Round 3 — The Finale

- Men’s
- Women’s
- Mixed

Round 3 is a true race-off for the grand prize. Only the top teams remain. First across the line wins their division’s $500 prize.
