Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5k

Join us for the first ever BUZZ, SWEAT & TEARS 5K; the inaugural Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team 5K Fundraiser!  This  back to school fundraiser offers a fun and exciting event designed to bring our community together in support of a team boasting over 150 athletes between Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle and Fort Mill High School! The Buzz Sweat & Tears 5K Fundraiser event is perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels; walkers are welcome. 

The FMXC program provides a positive training environment with a reputation of success in personal athletic growth as well as championship titles. Financial accessibility is key to ensuring that all students who are interested in participating can. Fundraising enables us to avoid imposing mandatory fees for participants, keeping the program accessible to all! 

The event will directly benefit the Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team and help to cover costs associated with expenses that include, but are not limited to, uniforms, travel fees, race registration fees, water coolers, sun shelters, race timing, course markings, first-aid items, and many other needs which ensure a safe and positive experience! 

DATE: Saturday October 25, 2025
START TIME: 3:30 Pm  (Check In 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM)
LOCATION: Fort Mill High School at Bob Jones Stadium
DISTANCE: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) / Kids Run (.5 mi)
COURSE: The course will be mostly paved, winding through the Fort Mill High School Campus.

• We love our four legged friends, but please leave them home for the race!
• Strollers are only permitted for registered event walkers, not for runners                                                                                                                                              
• The event will feature local vendors, food trucks, costume contest, kids run, kid activities and a trunk or treat for kids of registered runners or walkers! 

REGISTRATION:

Early Bird Registration: $30 (Until August 15)

Regular Registration: $35 (August 16 - October 14)

*Late Registration: $40 (October 15 - October 24 )

Fun Run Half Mile 10 & Under: FREE

*Commemorative t-shirts by size will be guaranteed to all those who register for the 5K walk or run by October 1st.

Top 3 Finishers in Each Age Group (Male and Female - 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+)
