Sorry for the delay! Submit your race times for either the virtual race or the 5k at Mullet Hall by visiting the "Results" page of the race website. It will say "submit virtual results" even if you ran at Mullet Hall. You can also submit your time by logging in to your Runsignup profile and selecting "Submit Virtual Results" under our event.
Thank you for participating in this year's Lope! We hope you all had fun wherever you chose to run.
Run or walk the HOPE Lope 5k, our third annual fundraiser benefiting the horses of H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue! This one's a hybrid event so you can run with us at Mullet Hall or participate anywhere and at any pace you choose. Whether you walk around your neighborhood, run through the park, or jog on a treadmill, it’s up to you. If you join us at Mullet Hall, you can enjoy music and food trucks on site after the race!
This is a fun run with no timer. We encourage families to participate, but be mindful that the trail at Mullet Park is not paved and can be bumpy or muddy in parts. Canine friends are welcome!
There will be a kickoff party at Bohemian Bull on Saturday, March 19, 1-5 pm. Enjoy live music from Soul Fish, The Brakemen, and Keith Driver when you come to pick up your race bag! Don't miss out on the chance to bid for raffle items from Charleston Chalks, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar, Nothing Bundt Cake, Boot Barn, Westbrook Brewing, Gilligan's Seafood Restaurant, The Broken Bow, Grimaldi's, TGI Friday's, Longhorn Steakhouse, and artist Steven Jordan.
Runners can pick up their race bags at the kickoff party or at registration the morning of race day from 8-9 am. Virtual runners that want their race bags shipped to them should select the shipping option during registration (we ask a $10 shipping fee to help keep our costs down).
Race Start: 9:00 am, March 26 at Mullet Hall, James Island County Park
Registration: 8:00 - 9:00 am
Kickoff Party: 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Bohemian Bull, James Island
The race giveaway this year includes a lightweight short-sleeve T-shirt with a special tribute design featuring a portrait of Firefly by artist Adrian Jerome Johnson. Firefly, a miniature horse, was one of H.O.P.E.'s rescues and a favorite around the farm. When she passed unexpectedly last year from colic, we decided to feature her on this year's shirt.
Along with the shirt, participants will also receive a 2022 HOPE Lope medal and a handy tote bag.
