The Race
The McNair 5K event is an annual event sponsored by the Ron McNair Committee, Lake City, SC. Our mission is to promote health and physical fitness for all ages.
Our format and schedule includes a half mile Kids run, for the kids 12 and under, a 1 mile fun walk, and the 5K run (main event). Trophies and awards will be given to winners in the 5K Event and the Kids run.
The race course makes use of the city streets of Lake City, and will be available on the website for the Ronald McNair Committee.
In addition to the races. we will also host a free health fair with health screenings, vaccinations, and other health related information/kits for distribution will be available.

The Course
Is flat and fast, taking your through the streets of downtown Lake City, SC
This course is stroller friendly and dogs on leashes are welcome.

The Cause
The Ronald E. McNair Committee is comprised of family, classmates and dedicated community members of the late Ronald E. McNair. They are dedicated to sharing Ronald's life story and his commitment to education and family values.
