Miles For Mica

Thank you for registering for WayMakers first 5K on Sunday September 7th 2025! Whether it’s your first race or you're chasing a new personal best, this event is for YOU! Don't wait—secure your spot now and be part of something unforgettable. "Miles For Mica" will start at noon at the Market Common Pond. Finishing ceremonies will be held at Tidal Creek Brewery for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners! We will have vendors set up around Tidal Creek Brewery so be sure to support your local small businesses. Registration is open until August 13th! Entry fee is $35 per runner which includes an event t-shirt so please be sure to let us know your shirt size while signing up.

This 5K is more than a race—it’s a tribute to our sister, Mica Acacia, whose passion for her community and life touched so many hearts. Though Mica is no longer with us, her legacy of kindness, resilience, and generosity lives on in every step we take. As we cross the finish line, we celebrate more than just miles—we honor a life, a legacy, and a community coming together with a purpose. Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, and supporter who made this event so special. Your steps today are more than a movement; they are a tribute, a statement of love, and a way to keep Mica’s spirit alive.

The money fundraised during "Miles For Mica" will be donated to World Visions, a charity that empowers people out of poverty since 1950. Let’s carry this energy forward, remembering that every race—like life—is about the journey, the people we share it with, and the impact we leave behind.
