What better way to celebrate Earth Day, do your part to conserve nature, and help educate future generations on the environment, then by running or sponsoring the 5K Fun Run or attending the Earth Day Festival for the Barrier Island Local Outreach Program? The exciting 5K route at St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center has received high praise from hiking, running, and walking enthusiasts featuring dirt roads, trails, and sandy paths through our 314 acres of beach, maritime forest, and undisturbed salt marsh on Seabrook Island, SC
Experience 5 Environments in 5 K: Maritime Forest, Salt Marsh, Dunes, Estuary, and Beach! Enjoy an Earth Day Festival following the 5K with Food Trucks, Games, Music, a Silent Auction, Education Tents, and Live Animals!

Support our mission to create scholarships for schools and students to visit the Barrier Island Environmental Education Program and provide outreach to local classrooms. You can sign up for the 5K and Festival together, or you can sign up to attend just the Earth Day Festival at a lower price. If you can't attend this year, but still wish to donate, we have that option as well.

- Bring your own folding chair or blanket to the festival.

We are celebrating EARTH DAY, so we encourage participants to bring personal water bottles for Water Refill Stations. We want to be as Earth-friendly as possible!

No Dogs are allowed for this event. We love our fur friends but we anticipate large crowds and small children. The safety and comfort of all our guests is our top priority.

Some areas of the course offer uneven terrain including gravel, sand, roots, and boardwalk - please be cautious. Strollers are not recommended for this race.

We will have Compost and Recycling Bins available on Festival grounds for food waste and recyclable materials. Please join us in making sure we reduce as much garbage waste as possible this Earth Day!!
*In order to guarantee a Race T-Shirt, you must register for the 5K Fun Run by Friday, March 15, 2024. You MUST register ahead of time for the 5K.
