The New Year's Dash 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will the race be held? The start/Finish line will be at the Soccer Pavilion at the Elizabethtown Sports Park, 1400 West Park Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
2. What time does the race start? The 5K race start time is 9:00 am.
3. What time should I arrive? Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the race start time.
4. Where will I park? The Elizabethtown Sports Park offers ample parking right at the Soccer Pavilion.

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close? Online registration is open until 5 minutes before the start of the race.
2. Can I register on race day? Yes! Race day registration will be available from 8:00 to 8:55 am for $30. Cash, checks, and cards will be accepted.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes a unique race long sleeve t-shirt & finisher's medal. NOTE: These giveaways are available for the first 200 paid registered runner
4. Can kids register for free? Kids 9 and under may register for free but not receive a shirt or medal.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. There are no refunds for race registration fees due to this race being a fundraising event with many overhead costs.

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race packet? The packet pickup will happen beginning at 8am on race morning.
2. Can I view a course map? This year's event will stay inside the Elizabethtown Sports Park. Participants will do two loops around the paved perimeter trail.
3. Is the course totally on hard surfaces? Yes! The course is on the paved trail within the Elizabethtown Sports Park. Participants will do 2 laps around the course.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers? Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is super easy. Please start at the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race? Yes! Walkers are welcome.
6. Can I bring my dog? Yes! Dogs on a fixed-length leash are welcome. No retractable leashes, please, as they create a trip hazard.
7. What is your inclement weather policy? The race will be conducted rain or shine. In the presence of lightning at race start time, the start will be delayed 30 minutes or canceled if lightning is still present after the 30-minute delay.

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed? Yes! The race will be chip-timed by Central Kentucky Race Management
2. Will awards be presented after the race? Yes! Awards for the top 3 male and 3 female finishers will be presented. No age categories will be recognized for the event. All runners will receive a finisher's medal.
