Empowering teachers, parents, and students for a brighter future!
The International Dyslexia Association Los Angeles Branch (IDALA) is a volunteer non-profit organization that serves Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Kern Counties. Our mission is to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to promote effective intervention practices, and to support individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field. Our educational workshops and community events are open to all.

Our Impact
Raising funds for teacher training, scholarships and outreach initiatives! We serve as a resource and support system for individuals with dyslexia, as well as the families, educators, and communities that support them.
The Facts
It's a myth that dyslexia is rare. Dyslexia occurs on a spectrum, and in the United States, NIH research has shown that dyslexia affects 20% of people. That is 1 in every 5 people!

is held annually during Dyslexia Awarness Month
Teacher Appreciation Raffle:
All teachers that attend the in-person Dash can put their name in the bucket for a chance to win one of many prizes!

LOCATION DESCRIPTION
The Start and Finish area is in the Park Center grassy area diagonally across from the Griffith Park Visitor Center/Ranger Station.
Event Description
Check-In begins at 7:30
Race will begin promptly at 8:30am
- All Dyslexia Dash participants will receive a race bib.
- You have the option to run or walk one loop around the golf course, the trail packed dirt and flat.
- Water and snacks will be provided for participants.
- There is free parking available.
- Public bathrooms are available for use nearby.
