In September 2025, former South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest while coaching his son’s football game. No symptoms, no warning signs — just a normal Wednesday night that turned life-or-death in seconds.
Unfortunately, 93% of people who experience sudden cardiac arrest don’t survive. Connor is here today because two bystanders immediately performed proper CPR, and an AED reached the field within minutes. In his own words, “Everyone deserves the same chance of survival that I had.”
