Is the event family friendly?
Yes. Families are encouraged! The venue has a kids area, and since the race is in the evening, we’ll be passing out glow sticks to make it even more fun. We also offer a Kids Dash and a community concert for all ages.

Do I have to run to participate?
No. Walkers are welcome. You can also attend the free after-run concert, volunteer, or become a sponsor.

Can I register without a shirt?
Yes. Choose the “no shirt” option when you register and your race fee will be discounted.

What is the last day to register to be guaranteed a shirt?
March 18, 2026. After this date, shirt inventory will vary. If shirts sell out, you will only be able to register with the “no shirt” option at a discounted rate.

Is there early packet pickup?
Yes. Early packet pickup is recommended and will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at True Vine Brewing Company.

Will there be on-site registration?
Yes, as long as space is available. We recommend registering early to secure your spot and shirt.

Is the 5K timed?
Yes. Timing is facilitated by our friends at ITRI365. The 5K is timed, but the Kids Dash is not.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome. True Vine Brewing Company also has a dog park on site.

Can I bring my stroller?
Yes, strollers are welcome on the course.

Can I run or walk with my child in the Kids Dash?
Yes. Parents are welcome to accompany their child during the Kids Dash.

Can my child run in the 5K if they are under 13?
Yes, but they must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the 5K. All participants on the course are required to wear a race bib. Younger children can become confused during a 5K and may feel lost. While we have course guides, volunteers, and police officers along the route, parents are responsible for their child’s safety and well-being. Children should not be expected to rely on a stranger if they get hurt, become tired, or feel uncertain.

Do I have to participate in the Kids Dash or 5K to attend the after-run concert?
No. The after-run concert is free and open to the entire community.

Where do I park?
Free parking is available at True Vine Brewing Company and surrounding lots. Volunteers will direct you on event day.

Will there be awards or prizes?
Yes. The top 3 girls and boys in the Kids Dash will receive prizes, and the top 3 male and female finishers in the 5K will receive prizes as well.

Do participants receive a drink ticket?
Yes. Each paid registration includes a drink coupon for the Light the Way 5K Brew, which can be redeemed after crossing the finish line. The coupon may also be used for a non-alcoholic option. Kids Dash registrations include a coupon for a non-alcoholic drink only.

What does the event benefit?

How do I register if I am transgender?
