Lexus of Lexington Virtual 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  At Keeneland Race Course at 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510.  The Start/Finish line will be near the Entertainment Center.
2. What time does the race start?  The Kid's Dash will start at 3:30 pm.The 5K race start time is 4:00 pm.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is TBD at this time.  You may enter the grounds through Gate 1 at Man-O-War and Versailles Rd until 3:30 pm. Gate 2 will be open at all times on race day.
5. How should I exit?  Gate 2 will be open at all times on race day, so please be cautious of runners on Old Clubhouse Lane if you leave before the 5K course is clear.  Gate 1 at Man-O-War and Versailles Rd will be closed between 3:45 pm and until the section of the 5K course on Keeneland Blvd is clear at approximately 4:45 pm.

 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will remain open through race morning. NOTE: Multi-person pricing will not be available on race day.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes! Race day registration will be available for an increased fee over pre-registration fees.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes a race t-shirt. NOTE: Race t-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after Thursday, April 16th.
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, all proceeds benefit the Woodhill Community Center.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. registration fees go to the benefiting charity and are non-refundable.

 

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race shirt and race number?  A pre-race packet pickup session is TBD at this time. Packets will also be available on race day starting at 7:00 am at the race site.
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click the "5K Course Map" tab to view the course map.
3. Is the course totally on hard surfaces?  Yes! The course is the paved roads at Keeneland.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.
6. Can I bring my dog?  Yes! Dogs on a fixed length leash are welcome. No retractable leashes please as they create a trip hazard.
7. What is your inclement weather policy? The race will be conducted rain or shine.  In the presence of lightning at race start time, the start will be delayed 30 minutes or cancelled if lightning is still present after the 30 minute delay.

 

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Yes! Awards for the top 3 male and female finishers will be presented as soon as possible after the race. There will also  be awards for the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age based divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54.55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over.
