The 2020 Marine Mud Run Has Been Cancelled

New Date: 9/25/2021

We have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Marine Mud Run because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of new infections from the pandemic has increased in Knox County in the past few weeks to the point that we are concerned for the safety of our participants and volunteers.

We have sent an email to all registered participants to allow them to either defer their registration to the September 25, 2021 event, request a refund of of their registration fee or donate the fee to the event charity. Participants can make their choice on this registration site or by responding to the email.

Please respond by September 12, 2020 and we will process your request after that date.

STAY SAFE

Here Are Your Options:

We will transfer your registration to the new event date which is September 25, 2021. We look forward to having you join us. Thanks for your patience!

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

We understand. We hope you can join us next time.

Description

Runners!  The Few. The Proud…and in spite of COVID-19, the Marine MudRun is back and Tennessee Strong.  SAFETY and FUN is our MISSION while fighting COVID-19.  Therefore, in accordance with the Tennessee Pledge for Noncontact Sports, the start line will have 3 lanes dispersed 6 feet apart and each runner will be distanced 6 feet in front and 6 feet behind other runners in each lane.   Once the start pistol fires, it is just like any other MudRun, except limited to 50 runners per wave.   With the 50-runner limit, it is imperative you are on time for the wave in which you sign up.  We ask once you finish the run, please do not congregate in large groups to keep each other safe.

We are changing up the course with some never before seen obstacles, along with some of the muddy favorites!!!

This course will be CHALLENGING. Would you expect anything less from Marines? It consists roughly of 3 miles of off-road running, which entails some obstacles, hills, and of course, mud pits. Wear old clothing and shoes. This off road 5K adventure takes you across scenic trails and fields, obstacles, mud, and water. It is open to individuals and teams. Be prepared for some real clean fun! Melton Hill Lake and local AMR Fire Dept is available for those who will need to be cleansed afterwards...Marines will make sure you successfully complete their course!
