Run Your Mutt 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk/Run

Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) is sponsoring their second annual 5K and 1-mile walk/run.  MCFA is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing for and continuously improving the health, happiness, and fortune of homeless and abandoned dogs and cats in Monroe County.  Join us for this family friendly event that brings together animal lovers, runners, walkers, and community members to support this very worthy cause.  Take your choice of a 5K run or a one mile walk/run with your dog on a paved path around the lake at Kefauver Park in Madisonville.  Dogs are encouraged, but not required to participate!  Event timing will be provided by East Coast Adventures.  Winner medals to be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers.  All participants will receive an event T-shirt and a SWAG bag.  If you adopted your dog from Monroe County Animal Shelter you will receive a special Alumni Bandana for your dog.  Packet pick-up begins at 8:00.  5K race start time is 9:00 am.  1-mile walk/run starts at 9:30 am.
