Dear #DallasJingle Participants,

Due to ongoing restrictions on events by the City of Dallas, we regrettably must announce that this year’s 2nd Annual 'Jingle All The 5K/10K/1K' on December 19th is now a Virtual Run. We are devastated we can't put on an event this year, especially after an incredible inaugural year last year with over 1,000 participants! We really would have loved to, but we must follow and respect the city’s health protocols.

In lieu of this change and our no refund policy, you have one of two options to choose from below to make you whole on your registration:
 
OPTION 1 – Virtual Run (10/15 Deadline for this Option): We have partnered with Medal Dash, one of largest Virtual Run companies in the country to execute the event for us. Last year in our virtual run, we had over 1,300 participants from all 50 U.S. States!
What is a virtual run? For those who don’t know, a virtual run allows you to create your own 5K/10K/1K route. It can be in your neighborhood, at a park, even on the treadmill. It’s up to you how you complete your run/walk for this event. You will then be able to post your results on the registration platform or through the Medal Dash social media pages with over 50,000+ fellow runners that have done their events since 2018. After signing up, Medal Dash will mail your race packet from their shipping facility which includes an event shirt, medal and bib, sent right to your front door. CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT!
 
OPTION 2 – Defer to 2021 Event: You may defer your registration to next year’s 'Jingle All The 5K/10K' which is scheduled to be held on Saturday December 18, 2021 (tentatively)


Anyone who does not select the 'Virtual Option' by October 15th will automatically be put into the defer option for 2021.

We apologize for any inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding during this strange, to say the least, year. We hope to see you participate in our virtual event this year or next December when we're back in person!

Description
Kick-start your holiday festivities and outpace that mischievous abominable snowmonster with the whole family and join us in the 2nd Annual ‘Jingle All The 5K, 10K, 1K'. Over 1,200 participants crossed our finish line in 2019 (SOLD OUT!), and now the fun is now coming back to Dallas!!! The Kids 1K kicks off the event at 8:00am and the 5K/10K fun run/walk will start at 8:30am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Trinity Groves Gateway Plaza right near the Continental Pedestrian Bridge, with an awesome backdrop of downtown Dallas (Flat and Fast, Out-And-Back Course on the Trinity Skyline Trail and a short drive from surrounding areas). Not only do participants receive a festive participant bib / performance tech t-shirt / finishers medal, but there will also be an appearance by Santa and Post-Race Refreshments. So, come out and show everyone your best holiday attire and spirit!

Can't make it to the event?  No problem!  Sign up for our Virtual Run option and run the event on your own time. Participants that choose this option will be able to pick up their run bib, shirt, and commemorative medal during packet pick-up or have it shipped directly to you (you get to choose either option during registration). You can also submit your finisher time via the link provided below.
If you need it shipped to you, standard shipping is included within your registration cost and we'll ship it to your address within three weeks or less following the conclusion of the event on 12/19 (U.S. Shipping Addresses Only).

WHEN DOES THE EVENT START?

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE 5K/10K?
All ages can participate in the event.  Strollers and walkers are also welcome, we just ask that you start in the back of the corral at event start to allow runners ahead.
 
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE KIDS 1K?
Untimed Kids 1K fun run is limited to children 12 and under. One parent or guardian may escort the child through the route, but it is not required. Strollers are allowed. Older children will be put in the front, and strollers are to be in the back. We ask if you are pushing a stroller you be cautious of other children around you as you pass them.

Please Note: All 5K/10K Bibs have an RFID tag located on the back of the bib for tracking on the course. Please leave this tracking in place centered on the front of your shirt to accurately time/track your participation.

PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pickup dates/times are listed below at our official packet pickup partner - Sun and Ski Sports. The perfect place to shop for your running gear!

Location: Sun & Ski Sports – Dallas 11170 N Central Expy
​Dates & Times: December 19 (12-7pm) & December 20 (10am-3pm)
 
Note: Please bring your registration confirmation email from RunSignUp and limit your pickups to four (4) total packets, including yourself
While there will be event day packet pickup, there will not be any gear check available on site. We strongly encourage participants to plan an early arrival to find parking and wait in any potential lines there may be to receive your packet. Packet Pick-Up on event day will conclude promptly at event start (8:30am).
 
EVENT DAY DETAILS:
Event Day Registration
Event day registration will be available at the registration tent near the start line area. Registering on the day of the event will guarantee you an entry until sold out!
Parking 
Trinity Groves has plentiful amounts of accessible parking (handicap parking included) via lots and garages that can be accessed from multiple entry/exit points on event day. See 'Course/Parking Map' in section above on this page for visual details.
Gear Check
There will be no event day gear check.  Please securely store your belongings in your vehicle or leave at home.
Start Line
Follow the 'Course/Parking Map' in section above on this page to the start line area. 5K starts and ends under an inflatable start and finish line identified on the map.
Mile Markers
Mile markers will be at each mile.
Water Stations
Water stations will be available at the start line and at the 2-mile mark of the run/walk. 10K participants will have the same water stop on the way back to the finish at the 5 mile mark.
Medical Assistance
If anyone needs medical attention during the event, we will have an EMS service provided right near the start line. If you're on the course and need see a fellow runner in need, find the nearest volunteer to assist.
Post-Run Refreshments
After you have completed your run/walk, the fun continues! Swing by our post-race hospitality area near the start/finish line for refreshments!
 
Race Photos
Your Sporting Image will be on hand to provide high quality photos of your participation in the event.  Your photos will be posted soon after the event and you can search for your photos by your last name or your bib number.  Watch for discounts that will be offered.
Tips for better race photos:
·   Wear your bib on the front of your shirt.
·   Pin all 4 corners of your bib.
·   Pull your cap/hat away from your face.
·   If running with a friend/family, run shoulder to shoulder while your photos are shot.
·   Smile
 
Participant Awards
This will be a 'friendly' competition across multiple categories, including:
Fastest Overall 5K & 10K Male & Female
5K & 10K Male & Female 1st/2nd/3rd Place Age-Group Winners: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Disclaimer Regarding Awards:
If, upon verification, the Race Directors find discrepancies, the winning individuals will not be eligible for an award.  All awards will be distributed to the winners following the conclusion of the event.
 
Course Etiquette
Please keep "Rules of the Road" in mind when running. If walking during the event, stay to the right of the trail at all times and pass on the left when possible. Please be courteous of other participants. For competitive participants, please remember this is a 'friendly' competition. Safety first!
Due to insurance restrictions, animals, skates or other vehicular apparatus are not allowed by participants on the race course.
Headphones are not recommended during the race, but not prohibited. Please stay aware and in-tune with your surroundings.
 
Refund Policy
All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund. If you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else and entry fees will not be transferred from year to year.
