Come join our Second Annual 5K For Life at Mike Lewis Park Grand Prairie. Make a difference in your local community. New runners and families are welcome to join the 5K. Non runners are encouraged to try a community walk or run and you just might get hooked. Our vision for this annual 5k is to inspire our community to lock arms with the Grand Prairie Pregnancy Resource Center, and bring awareness and support to your local Pregnancy Resource Center! This event is a yearly fundraising resource providing essential funds for ongoing projects and campaigns.
The Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie is a non-profit organization that has been a pillar within our community for 30 years—impacting over 43,500+ families!
By helping to raise awareness and support we can continue offering FREE practical assistance, resources, education, and care for moms, dads, and families facing unexpected pregnancies.
We would be honored if you would lock arms with us for our 2nd Annual 5k For Life!

VOLUNTEER WITH US
-Aid station (Super High Priority): Provide water to participants as they pass by. Keep course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles and trash and placing it in the provided trash cans.
-Course Monitor ( Super High Priority): Help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants in the right direction.
Contact: cpcgplife@sbcglobal.net if you or anyone you know wish to volunteer. Great way to rack up community hours/credits.
Feel free to bring pom pom, horns, music, instruments, signs etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative
costumes!

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancelation Policy All Lace Up Running events proceed rain or shine or snow or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no refund policy.
In the event of extreme weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to an half hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.
If conditions turns into lightening, ice or become unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.
We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.
A lot of hours, days and even months goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.
Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.
Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.
If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is canceled, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course. See our virtual race information for complete details.

Creating a Team is an easy process. You will be asked during registration if you want to create a Group. Don't see your team listed in the dropdown menu? The first person who registers and creates a group becomes the Captain. Once the group is created, it will appear in the drop-down list of groups and others can choose to join the group.

Yes. You can pick up for 6 participants at a time.
ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT?
Yes.
ARE STROLLERS AND WHEELCHAIRS?
Yes. For the safety of all, we ask that strollers and wheelchairs start at the back of the pack to avoid any collisions. Also, please adhere to the 1-hour course time limit.
IS THE RACE OPEN TO WALKERS?
Yes. Walkers are welcomed. however, please be courteous of others and start at the back of the crowd to avoid any collisions.
IS THE COURSE HILLY OR FLAT?
Flat.
CAN I BE GUARANTEED MY SHIRT SIZE
We will do our very best to ensure you receive the shirt size you selected at registration. You are allowed to change shirt size when packet pickup closes on RACE DAY. Please be advised that shirts are ordered well in advance and the sizes provided are used as estimates to complete the pre-race bulk order. For the best chance of receiving your registered size, please pick up your packet as early as possible. We recommend NOT waiting until RACE DAY. Due to COVID-19, shirt exchanges will NOT be allowed RACE DAY (after packet pick-up closes) Shirts WILL NOT be mailed under any circumstance.
WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO CHECK PERSONAL BELONGINGS?
YES. There will be a BAG Check table located near Packet Pickup.
