2024 Lone Star Stampede - Texas Exes Houston & Katy Chapters

Join the Houston & Katy Texas Exes for our 45th annual Lone Star Stampede!

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, January 6, 2024
• Start Time: 8:00am CST Start
• Distances: 5K - 10K - Kid's K - 5K Walk
• Location: Cane Island Community Center

Pre-Race Packet Pickup:

• Monday, January 1st at Little Woodrow's Midtown (during the Sugar Bowl) - note bib pickup only - shirts will not be available 
• Thursday, January 4th, Fleet Feet at Cinco Ranch, 4:30 - 6:30 PM
• Friday, January 5th, Fleet Feet at Cinco Ranch, Noon - 4 PM

Race Day Packet Pickup: 6:30 – 7:30 AM

Registration includes finishers medal and dri-fit shirt; post-race party with pop-up appearances by UT Health, Ziggi's Coffee, Frost Town Brewery, Tiffs Treats, River Oaks Donuts, MVMT Chiropractic and raffles and prizes provided by Hoka and Fleet Feet!  Special thanks to our GOLD sponsor UT Health!  

Route:
The course is a double loop route within the Cane Island Community 
5K course is one loop
10K course is a double loop
Kid’s K is also an out-and-back on the course

Parking: Cane Quarter 

Race Day Timeline:
8:00 AM – 5K and 10K run start
8:10 AM – 5K walk start
9:15 AM – Kid’s K start
9:30 AM – 5K & 10K Awards

5K & 10K Awards:
Overall open Male and Female.  Awards include gift cards from Fleet Feet and Hoka.

Misc:
5K and 10K runs are chip timed.
The 5K walk and Kid’s 1K are not timed.  Parents may accompany kids on Kid's 1K.  
No pets on the course.
Strollers in the 5K walk only.
Inclement weather: The event will be held rain or shine. However, should additional weather conditions prevail race day that it is deemed unsafe for runners and volunteers, the run will be cancelled and all fees will be donated to the Houston and Katy Chapter Scholarship fund.  The race will not be rescheduled for 2024.
NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS due to race cancellation from weather conditions.    

T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registration after December 22.
