RUN HOUSTON STRONG - November 4th, 2017

Just about everyone in HoUSton was either personally affected by Hurricane Harvey or knows someone who was affected. Houstonians and people across the country have been donating their money and time to help friends, families and strangers during the recovery. The RUN HOUSTON STRONG, fun run, will help raise money for kids and families displaced by Hurricane Harvey and living in shelters through our Houston local partner, HOMEMADE HOPE. It will also bring the community together to have a little fun during a time when fun has not been prevalent. The net proceeds from the RUN HOUSTON STRONG will be donated to HOMEMADE HOPE a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit .

The RUN HOUSTON STRONG event is a 5k and 10k run/walk that will start at Stude Park, 1031 Stude St. Houston, TX 77007, and run along the White Oak Bayou Greenway Trail.

Time:

• 8 am - 10k
• 8:20 am - 5k
• 8:50 am - Walk/Strollers/Kids 

Timing:

This is a chip timed race.

Results for this event will be available after you finish.

Post Race: Free breakfast tacos provided by Christian's Tailgate and free beer provided by St. Arnold Brewing Company and 11 Below Brewing

After Party Location: Christian's Tailgate - 11 am (kid friendly) - $2 beer and $2 wells (Must have race wristband or pay $20 for a wristband at Christian's Tailgate if you want to join us but not run (Only Adults need wristbands kids are free).

Live Music: Trey Clark: 11 - 1 pm

The registration for the 5k will be $35 and the 10k will be $50. All participants will receive free water, beer and breakfast tacos.

***Our goal is to get accommodate as many runners as we can in order to donate the most money to Homemade Hope. We will take registrations until Friday, 11.3.17 at midnight. Unfortunately, if you register after 11.1.17 you will receive a hat instead of a shirt. If you really want a shirt we can send you one after the run. We hope you understand.

*** As of 11.3.17 at 8am, the Time Run registration is CLOSED. Thank you to everyone who registered!!! If you would still like to join us for the run and help raise money for a great cause we would love to have you join us. We have added a 10K ($40) and 5K ($25) No Timing Chip option. Both options receive a FREE Trucker Cap, Beer and breakfast taco but no shirt or koozie. You can pick up your hat and wristband at Manready Mercantile between 12pm and 7pm today or 7am and 7:30am tomorrow at Stude Park.

We will also have a virtual run option so people outside the Houston area can participate and donate. Your shirt and koozie will be mailed to you before the race (depending on when you sign up) so you can wear the shirt during your run and tag #runhoustonstrong on social media. There is no need to send us your time since this is a charity run.

Packet pick up will be Thursday and Friday, November 2nd and 3rd at Manready Mercantile - 321 W 19th Street, Unit B, Houston, TX 77008 from 12PM to 7PM. We will have limited packet pick up the morning of the run for $5 more between 7am and 7:30 am. Please bring cash.
