Keller ISD has cancelled the Casey's Kids Fun Run & Health Expo, planned for Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Keller ISD and the Keller Council of PTAs would like to thank all of our sponsors, vendors, schools, donors, and those who have registered to participate in this year's event for their generosity in supporting Casey's Kids through the annual Casey's Kids Fun Run and Health Expo. As our sole fundraiser for this program, this year's generous donations have raised just over $25,000 which will go to support students in need right here in Keller ISD. So that we can provide the maximum amount of support to students in need we will not be printing or distributing t-shirts this year.
Should you have any questions, or would like to help us continue to reach our goal of $40,000, please contact us as: email@example.com
Additional race information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/CaseysKids5KFunRun/.
NEW! Casey’s Kids professionally chip timed course is now a certified 5K!
Casey’s Kids started in 1997 when Janie Casey, a former counselor in Keller ISD, discovered that a student was limiting the number of school days attended per week due to a lack of clothing. It was this student’s need that led to Ms. Casey’s mission to find a way to fund the clothing needs of students in need district-wide. Named in Janie’s honor, the Casey’s Kids Fun Run began as an effort to provide clothing and has now expanded to include other items such as school supplies and household needs. All funds raised through sponsorship and event registrations are distributed to these families in need by KISD counselors. This year we have expanded even further by partnering with the Keller ISD Health Expo to increase awareness of Casey’s Kids and healthy choices, as well as to provide various free health screenings and information to our district.
