Live In The Sunshine 5K

Sunshine. That’s what Kendall Susan McDonald was. She was smiling rays of sunshine warming anyone who came in contact with her. She left us at the tender age of 20, due to a rare heart condition called Long QT Syndrome. The “Live In The Sunshine” 5k has been established to continue her memorial scholarship fund and to build awareness for Long QT Syndrome.

Kendall was a lifelong resident of Lumberton and she was the epitome of what being a Lumberton Raider is all about. She was a student at Texas State University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and an aspiring engineer. Lumberton is known for its community spirit and she exhibited this perfectly, it is because of this we are bringing this 5k to her hometown. Please join us in our efforts to help save others as we remember Kendall and celebrate her life.

The course consists of 3 loops around Lumberton City Park. Race course is paved and wide enough for both runners, walkers, strollers, etc. Pre-race packet pickup will be offered at 183Fit Training Facility in Lumberton (Date and Time TBD).

Post-race food/drink will be provided
