Description
Sara's 5K Inaugural Run is inspired by Sara Mutschlechner who was called home on January 1, 2016. Sara was a former Hernandez student and a cherished member of the San Marcos community. She was a free spirit with a passion for academics, theatre, band, and martial arts. Her mother Gloria Mutschlechner is a valued teacher at Hernandez and has been a part of the SMCISD family or 33 years.
Hernandez Elementary is hosting this race as a celebration of Sara's life and accomplishments. Funds from Sara's 5K will go towards the contruction of a track at Hernandez Elementary in her honor.
