The Campus to Campus Challenge is the target race for Chisholm Trail Virtual Challenge (the Waco Striders Summer Training Program). The Campus to Campus Challenge will be held as our normal Saturday Group Run. That means that the course will be open to vehicular traffic as normal for our group runs. We encourage you to review our Rules of The Road for safety, courtesy, and fun. If you have been participating in the Chisholm Trail Virtual Challenge, this run will be the final leg that will get you to your goal of the Waco Suspension Bridge. Selfies at the bridge are encouraged as your reach your goal.
If the local Social Distancing Orders permit, the run will be followed by a club picnic at the Redwood Shelter. Details to be determined.
There is no registration fee for this race, but you must be a current member of the Waco Striders Running Club to participate. If you are not currently a member, you can join as part of the registration process. There will be no giveaways (t-shirts) or awards. However, we will be timing the race and posting results in 5 year age groups.
As the name Campus to Campus implies, we will be running from the Redwood Shelter to the Baylor Campus then to the MCC Campus before finishing back at the Redwood Shelter. The distance is 12 (Mitch) miles. Our race director, Mitch Deskins, will make sure that course is NOT short of 12 miles. A 6-mile option is also available by stopping at the Redwood Shelter after the first 6-mile Baylor loop.
