The Chupacabra Trail Run will not have a physical race this year due to the Coronavirus.
While we are disappointed that we can no longer offer the same event experience due to The Coronavirus Social Distancing, we hope you understand our decision to convert to a Virtual Trail Run. You will still get a T-shirt, Finisher Medal, and a Series Plaque (if you ran all 3 races in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series). As a virtual participant, you can complete the race distance on the route, day, and time of your choosing between Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 15. No official timing is necessary for virtual participants.
You can pick up your race packet at the Redwood Shelter in Cameron Park on Saturday, October 31 anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The 5K and 15K trail routes in Cameron Park will be marked on that Saturday if you wish to run the actual course.
We are also offering the Free RaceJoy Tracking app to help give you more of an actual race experience. RaceJoy will be activated from Saturday, October 31 through Sunday, November 15. If you use the RaceJoy app it will submit your trail run results automatically for you. You will be receiving RaceJoy setup instructions later.
The Chupacabra Trail Run is the last race in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. Participants that complete all the races (3 in 2020) in the series will receive a special plaque to display their finisher medals.
T-shirt sizes will be guaranteed for all registrants who sign up by October 19, 2020. After that date, T-shirt sizes will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis until we run out of shirts.
There are great running trails throughout the Waco area. The Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series will feature four of these trails (3 in 2020). Three of the trail runs will be in Cameron Park and one in Woodway Park. Each race will present it's own set of challenges of distance and terrain.
