Glow Over Waco 5K & Fun Run

As a part of the Eclipse Over Texas weekend, celebrate with an electrifying evening of fun downtown at the Glow Over Waco 5K and Fun Run located at Indian Springs Park on April 6th, 2024! This event is a prelude to the spectacular total eclipse set to amaze on April 8th. Get ready to light up the night as you run through a course illuminated by neon glow sticks, vibrant LED lights, and the anticipation of an upcoming celestial show. Wear your brightest neon attire, and let's make this evening shine as brightly as the stars themselves!

Race Terrain

5K- Paved concrete start, then continue onto the road all the way just past Jacob's Ladder and Cameron Park (Right before the hills) then turnaround and run the roadway back to the start at Indian Springs Middle School. Starts at 8:00 pm

 
Fun Run- 1 mile on paved concrete. Starts at 7:30 pm  

Packet Pickup

 *The first 100 people to pick up their packet will receive a fun prize. Each person needs to physically be on site to receive the prize.*

Chip Timing 

There will be chip timing and results for the 5K brought to you by Pro-Fit Race Timing! 

All proceeds from this event will benefit the non-profit Greater Waco Sports Commission, which is devoted to providing opportunities to enhance the lives of those living in Waco and McLennan County through sport and exercise.  

*The Glow Over Waco 5K and Fun Run takes place rain or shine. The race director reserves the right to cancel or amend the event due to severe weather. As is the case with running/walking events, refunds are not given for weather cancellations. Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.*
