Yes, Race-day registration is available both online and in person.  Registration will close 15 minutes before race start time.  Please note that prices increase closer to race day, so register early to save!

We will have two packet pickup dates. 2/26/26 @ St. Timothy Catholic School (3:00 pm - 7:00 pm) and 2/27/26 @ Go Run Miami Store (1:00 pm - 7:00 pm), check packet pick up instructions on homepage for more information. We highly recommend you pick up your packet pickup swag bag, before race day. 

Yes. Parking is available in the West Lot, near the starting line and registration area. Directional signs will be posted at the Zoo entrance (turn right at the fork after entering from 152nd Street). 

No. We have a spectator only option or a spectator with zoo entry option available for purchase. 

When registering multiple participants, you must enter your email for each participant.  It is best to enter the same email for all within that family and/or group. 

We appreciate your zoo membership! However, the Trojan Trot 5K takes place before the zoo’s regular opening hours and is a special fundraiser event, so zoo discounts do not apply.

Yes, The 5K is open to all.  Children ages 3-9 are encouraged to join the Peewee Trojan Trot fun run.  Age 2 and under are free. 

Yes.  However, they will only receive 1 finisher medal at the time of completion of Peewee Trot. 

Ages 2-3 may be acommpanied by one parent. Ages 5-9 must run independently.

Ages 2/3 - 50 meters , Ages 4/5-50 meters , Ages 6/7 - 100 meters,  Ages 8/9 -100 meters

There is no childcare at the event. Children must stay with a parent or guardian at all times.  

No. If you are walking it will average between 18-20 minutes per mile.

The Zoo Band will be distributed on 2/28/26 during registration check-in window.  The band is good to be used all day on 2/28.  It is important if you are leaving 5K event and returning to the zoo at a later time on this day, then zoo band must remain on your wrist the entire time. 

Strollers are welcome on the 5K course.  Please line up at the back of the start line. Scooters (electric or non-electric) are not allowed due to safety concerns.

Yes. If you register before 1/31/26, then you are guaranteed a shirt. 

5K Medals: Gold, Silver, and Bronze will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket beginning at age 10.  More information can be found under "Finisher Medal". 

All participants will receive a finisher medal. Including Peewee Trojan Trot participants.  

Yes at mile 1 and mile 2 and at finish line.
