12th Annual Houston Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt, Sunday, October 1, 2017
Description:
The rally is open to riders of all ages and designed as a casual, self-paced ride. Entrants can choose between a 20-mile course through the Heights and near-by neighborhoods, or a shorter 5-mile ride designed for kids and their adult companions —OR DO BOTH—starting and finishing at Marmion Park, 18th Street and Heights Boulevard.
After completing the ride, participants can celebrate at Marmion Park for the Post Ride Party and Awards Ceremony with entertainment, fabulous door prizes, and great refreshments including picnic fare, beverages and more!
Entry Fee: (credit cards are accepted)
Before September 28, 5pm CT / Rally Day @ Marmion Park
20-mile Route $20, Day of ride $25
5-mile Route $10, Day of ride $15
Event Details:
8:00 am -- Participants in the 20-mile route may start their ride any time after 8:00 am on the day of the event.
2:00 pm -- Participants in the 5-mile route may start their ride any time after 2:00 pm on the day of the event.
3:30 pm - After party begins.
4:00 pm – Deadline for completing the rally.
4:30 pm – Awards Ceremony begins.
Scavenger Hunt:
Each entrant will be issued a rally map and a scavenger hunt clue list. There will be one combination check point / water station mid-way on the route. The clue list describes a sight or object that can be seen along the rally course. The person who finds the most mystery objects will be named the winner.
Prize Rules:
To be eligible for prizes and awards, entrants must complete the rally no later than 3:30 pm, and submit their completed scavenger hunt clue list at Marmion Park. You must be present to win.
Check Point and Water Station:
There will be one combination check point – water station near the mid-point on the ride.
Packet Pickup:
All packet pickup will be at Marmion Park, 18th Street and Heights Boulevard, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Rally Day.
SAG Service:
SAG Service will be provided for riders unable to complete the route. SAG Vehicle drivers will pick up broken down bikes and tired riders and return them to Marmion Park.
THIS IS NOT A RACE – ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS.
There is no rain date for this event. Rain or shine, the event goes on as planned. Sorry, no refunds will be made.

The HHA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and proceeds from the Bicycle Rally go directly into the community for beautification, restoration, maintenance and education
