Description
A race with the option to run a 5k or 10k. Beethoven's 5th Symphony is played and the runners which finish the 5k course before the 5th Symphony ends will receive a pin stating they beat Beethoven. A runner dressed as Beethoven also runs the race and times the run to cross the finish line at the end of the Symphony (approximately 32 minutes). If you stay ahead of the runner dressed as Beethoven you will beat Beethoven. For the 10k runners, there will be additional music as they complete a 2nd lap of the course.
This year members of the Utah Symphony are participating as they celebrate their 75th anniversary. Runners who participate in the race will receive 20% discount to the Utah Symphony Beethoven Festival. We will also have drawings that will include free tickets to the Symphony, as well as other Symphony related items.
