Packet Pickup

Friday, July 12: 4pm-7pm - Early Bib pickup, TBA

Saturday, July 13: 7:30am-9:00am - Bib pickup available at the race venue. Please arrive early enough to pickup your packet and get ready. We will start promptly at 10AM. We strongly encourage to pick up bib night before race.

Race starts at the base of Albion/Sunnyside lifts (elevation 8650 ft.) and goes east up the Albion Meadows Trail. Immediately you start gaining elevation as you run through a forest of subalpine fir, Engelmann spruce, and aspen trees. The steep single track switches back at an old ski lift chair mounted on a pedestal with a view of the creek in Snake Pit on your right.

No time to rest here you still have 7 miles to go. Continue up the Albion Meadows Trail as you exit the forest and enter the Albion Meadows with a view of Devils Castle straight ahead. Don’t get lost in the wildflowers or you will miss the narrow single track with a sharp right that takes you to Alf’s mid mountain restaurant (elevation 9200 ft.) Turn right at Alf’s and follow the road under the Sugarloaf lift line and continue climbing up this road that zig zags East Greeley. Pass under Yellow Trail and you have a short flat stretch below Glory Hole before you climb up onto the Wide Track underneath the Sugarloaf lift line. You will have a great view of Cecret Lake below you but turn right and keep climbing.

This road is very steep and will flatten out as you turn right and run through the Keyhole and take you up through a high alpine meadow with a meandering stream. Continue baring right to the top of Collins (elevation 10400 ft.) There will be an aid station here. Go south across the East Baldy Traverse towards Sugarloaf Pass (elevation 10500 ft.) turn west and head up the ridge to the top of Mt. Baldy (elevation 11,068 ft.) Head down the northwest ridge of Mt. Baldy and come to the top of Wildcat Lift (elevation 9780 ft.) From here turn right onto the service road and stay on it all the way past Watson Shelter (elevation 9280 ft.) Please stay on service road all the way to the bottom of Collins Lift (elevation 8530 ft.) Continue on service road along the Transfer Tow to the finish where you started.

**course subject to change as necessary

Aid Stations:
Two aid stations. Electrolyte beverages. And water.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:
The race organizers reserve the ability to cancel the event due to unsafe weather. Race organizers will make the best decisions when it comes to protecting the safety of all runners. This means we reserve the right to adjust, cancel, reroute, or reschedule as we see fit.

Because the bulk of our costs come before the event even occurs we will not be able to extend refunds to those who wish to cancel their registration. In the instance of mega wild weather we will assess things appropriately and fairly, to the best of our abilities. If the race is popular enough to create a waiting list, we will also treat your entry fairly with specifics TBD.

Race registration is non-transferable and cannot be rolled over to subsequent races, unless extenuating medical or life circumstances occur. We will always treat our community fairly but also ask that you be sympathetic about the realities of putting on a great event.

*SPORT: This category is for people that don't have a ton of mountain experience, and wouldn't call themselves strong runners. But are ready to test themselves.

*EXPERT: This category is for people with a lot of mountain experience, consider themselves strong hikers with competent running skills.

*PRO: This category is for professional runners.

Results will be posted here 48 hours after the event.

By signing up, you have opted-in to potentially receive digital marketing from our sponsors.
