Get ready to enjoy a fun-filled day for the whole family at the Healthy Kids 5k Run/Walk & Kids 1 Miler! Whether you're a seasoned runner, a first-timer, or just looking for a fun family outing, this event is for everyone.

Race Details:

5k Run/Walk: The course is flat, fast, and perfect for both beginners and experienced participants. It’s an out-and-back route, so you’ll be able to take in the beautiful surroundings as you race toward the finish line.
Kids 1 Miler: Let the little ones join in on the fun with a 1-mile race designed just for them. It’s a great way to introduce children to the joys of running while keeping the spirit of competition light and exciting.
After the race, stick around for a Family Fun Festival featuring activities, food, vendors, and the awards ceremony! It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax and celebrate your accomplishment with family and friends.

FAQ

Cost: Online pre-registration is $25 until May 23rd. Online registration is $30 between May 24th and June 6th. Race-day registration is $40 and takes place from 7:45 to 8:45 at the Booker Building.

T-Shirts: Participants who want to be guaranteed a T-shirt must register by May 23rd. For those who register after this date, shirts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional shirts will be on sale for $10 if any are available.

Course: The course is an out-and-back on the Staunton River at English Park. It is a flat course, perfect for personal bests and a fast race!

Race Start Times: The 5k run/walk will start promptly at 9 AM. The kid's 1 miler will begin at 10:30 AM. Awards will follow after the completion of the kid's 1 miler.

Early Packet Pickup: June 5th & 6th at the Altavista YMCA. Note: Timeframes for early packet pickups will be from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on both days.

Race Day Registration: 7:45 – 8:45 AM at Booker Building.

Awards: Join us in the Booker Building after the race for the following awards!
