Drew Dragon Dash

Join us for our 2nd Annual DREW DRAGON DASH through the Drew/Green Valley neighborhood!

DATE: Saturday 6/3/23 @ 9:00am
LOCATION: The 1-mile fun run starts/ends at the big field at Drew School and goes through the neighborhood
COURSE MAP: The race will begin on Drew Field, and proceed north along S Kenmore in a counterclockwise fashion around the neighborhood, and end back at the starting line.  Runners will run on sidewalks for the entire race.
REGISTRATION: $5/person - The Dragon Dash is open to any parents, kids, runners, and walkers in the community, so invite your neighbors and friends to join. Stroller-friendly course!  No bikes, please.  Registration closes at midnight on Friday, June 2.  There will be NO day-of registrations, so register now!

 ** PRIZES to the top finishers in each grade!
 ** This event is all about COMMUNITY!  Whether or not you run the race, come cheer on your classmates and friends and neighbors as they race to the finish line! 
 ** EVERYONE is invited to stick around after the race for DREW DAY afterwards at 10am!  Food, Moon Bounces, book swap, PBL showcase, blood mobile and more!

HOW CAN I HELP MAKE THIS RUN A SUCCESS?
1) Fundraising
The PTA is raising funds to beautify our school grounds, support our amazing teachers, and sponsor fun community events (like the Dash!).  Fundraising is not required to run the race, but there are prizes and a raffle for AirPods for any Drew student who participates. 2) Volunteers Needed!

DAY-OF LOGISTICS

Parking
Parking at the race site is limited, so we highly encourage biking / walking / carpooling to Drew.  
Limited parking is available at the Drew School car lot.  If you plan to drive, please arrive by 8:45am in order to access the Drew parking lot.  Please DO NOT park in the bus lanes at Drew OR in the parking spaces near the tennis courts, as those areas will be used for Drew Day for the food truck and bloodmobile.

Race Start Time
IMPORTANT: The Race will begin PROMPTLY at 9:00am.  If you arrive after 9am, a parent/guardian may need to run with you as we cannot guarantee race course volunteers.  Additionally, NO runners will be allowed to start the race after 9:15am.  Please plan to arrive no later than 8:45am!  Also, top finishers are determined by order across the finish line, so be on time so you can start with the pack!
