2022 Trottin' Oxen Donut Relay

We're Baaaaaacccccckkkkk!

Grab three of your closest, craziest friends and come out to Old Ox Brewery In Ashburn, VA on Saturday, May 7th for the Fourth Annual Donut Relay!  COVID may have kept us down, but we're certainly not out! If you're a donut fan, this is the race for you! 

Teams of 4 people come together to eat and run.  Each team must consume a dozen donuts between them.  Any way you cut it.  Each person has to eat at least one donut - outside of that, anything goes!  One person eats nine and the other three eat one each- totally fine!  The first three eat one each and stiff the fourth runner to eat nine??  All's fair in run and donut.

Each person eats their share of donuts then hits the W&OD Trail to run it off. Each runner goes out for one mile, is recognized at the turn-around point, and then heads back to the Donut Eating Exchange Zone.  As soon as you hit the exchange zone - your next teammate can start slamming donuts.  

Each participant will get a free beer, an Old-Ox themed buff, and of course, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as well as other running/donut swag!

THE AFTER PARTY!

What's a good race without a great after party?  As the relay finishes the party continues--relax, drink beers and let your digest donuts in the Old Ox parking lot. Enjoy...

START

We will start this event in waves if needed, with the teams expected to take longer starting earlier.  We will start the first wave at 11:00 am and expect every team to be finished by 1:00 pm.  Awards will be around 1:30 pm.  

REGISTRATION

A team captain must create a team-name and pay the entry fee up front.  They can either add each team-member or ask their teammates to enter themselves individually.   You do not have to enter all your team-members when you register, you can go back and do so - and their information must be entered before race-day.  If you have your teammates enter their own information - BE SURE THEY KNOW YOUR EXACT TEAM NAME.  In the past we have had several common names last year and this can get confusing.  

PACKET-PICK-UP

On race day from 9:30 am- 10:30am.  We will assign waves to each team.  Earlier waves must pick up their packet earlier, but later waves can come later.  The first wave will start at 11:00.  Detailed instructions will be emailed.
