Description

Run or walk with Transformation Freedom Initiative (TFI) to Empower Against Exploitation!  Your participation helps raise awareness and prevention of human trafficking in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley through FREE resources! Resources include audience specific presentations, occupation specific training, and youth programs.  Learn more here

This family friendly event will include Music, Giveaways, Bodo's Bagels, and the opportunity to hear a few words at the start line from Survivor Advocate and Anti-Human Trafficking Director for the Commonwealth Attorney General's Office of VA, Tanya Gould.  Plus, kids 10 and under Trek 1/2 off!

The Trek to Prevent Trafficking will begin at UVA's Memorial to Enslaved Laborers located at 1620 University Avenue, at the edge of the University of Virginia’s Grounds in the sloping landscape of the “Triangle of Grass” close to the intersection of University Avenue and Elliewood Avenue. Arrows and volunteers will be along the course to direct runners and walkers! The race will then conclude near Newcomb Hall with waters and Bodo's Bagels!
