               Due to Covid -19 restrictions there will be Temperature Checks and Covid-19 waivers to be signed upon arrival!

                                               We will assign time slots and running waves to control social distancing !

                                                            We will provide more details as we get closer to race day!

This Race is being put on to give Runners a shot at a BQ  in March with some better weather! to qualify to race in this event you must have run within 20 min of your BQ time or faster in last 3 years!  If you have never run a Marathon and would like to attempt a BQ you can still qualify with a half marathon time, All times are in the link below! there will be a 5 hr race limit!

THIS RACE IS A BOSTON QUALIFER INVITATIONAL. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO ENTER YOUR

QUALIFYING TIME AND THE LINK TO THE RACE YOU ARE USING TO QUALIFY FOR ENTRY.

YOU MUST MEET THESE GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THS EVENT.

COURSE: This is a Marathon course on the closed 2-lane roadway at the Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake. Full Marathon course will be USATF Certified course and that means its a Boston Qualifying race

FLUIDS AND FOOD: There will be 9 aid stations with water for the Marathon.

AMENITIES & POST-RACE:  Finishers receive a Medal and Premium Long Sleeve Shirt. Onsite hospitality & refreshments.

TIME LIMITS: The Full starts at 7:30 AM  --   we will have a wave start ! Waves will start at 7:30 AM -- PARTICIPANTS REQUIRED TO START IN SOCIALLY DISTANCED GROUPS. Finish line will close at 1:30 PM. 

AWARDS: Top 3 overall Male and Female and top 3 male and female in 10 year age groups will receive awards! everyone that runs a BQ will receive a special award!

REGISTRATION:  Registration will be open until Thursday March 25, 2021, or until slots fill. NO race day Registration.

GOLDEN RUNNERS/STRIDER PLUS: Not available for this event.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS: A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available up thru March 25th. Discounts are automatically applied on the payment page during registration. You should use the account you used to register for the club to apply for this discount. We will also attempt to match on name/date of birth.
