Hallowiener Run 2024 Cancelled Due to Hurricane Helene Destruction in Damascus
New Date: Saturday, March 21, 2025
We are forced to postpone the Hallowiener Run 2024 due to extensive damage in Damascus caused by Hurricane Helene and the closure of the Virginia Creeper Trail that was the race course. Also, we lost everything we own in the flooding, and that makes putting on the race a bit tough at this time. The Hallowiener party at the Appalachian Heritage Brewery & Distillery will still happen on Saturday, November 2, with live music from the Adam Bolt Band and Orbital Planes, plus food trucks and drink specials. We also have race shirts and finisher awards made already (and they're very cool), so we'll have them at the party available for purchase for anyone that's interested. Please come support the town of Damascus in this difficult time. We apologize for having to postpone, but we'll build back better for 2025.

Once again, the Appalachian Heritage Brewery and Distillery and Run Damascus have joined together to throw the best running costume party of the year. We'll have live music, food truck, outdoor bar, and a hotdog themed 5K run. Every runner/walker registered before the late registration deadline will be guaranteed a very cool "Don't Mess with Appalachian Runners" tech shirt. All finishers will receive our very popular 'Steal Your Pace" insulated cup! The run will start and finish in downtown Damascus, VA, at the beautiful Appalachian Heritage Brewery and Distillery.
Schedule of Events
3:00pm Race Day registration and packet pickup at the Appalachian Heritage Brewery and Distillery.
5:00pm Hallowiener Run 5K starts.
5:30pm Outdoor bar is open for business.
6:00pm Music begins on the outdoor stage...The Adam Bolt Band and Orbital Planes!
