There is no paper registration option this year. Registration is online only! Dogs are not permitted on the course. Strollers are welcome, but we ask that stroller participants start near the middle/end of their wave.
Description
Join us for our 32nd Year!!! The YMCA Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day tradition that attracts runners of all ages and abilities to Fredericksburg, VA each year. Run or walk the 5K course through scenic downtown Fredericksburg! Kids can get in on the fun by joining a parent in the 5K or running the 1-mile race.
The littlest Trotters (5 and under) are welcome to join in on the fun on Wednesday, November 27th in the first annual Tot Trot on the James Monroe High School track starting at 4pm! The Tot Trot will not be a timed event - it's a fun run!
Proceeds raised support Rappahannock Area YMCA programs that empower youth, improve community health, and ensure affordable access for all.

7:00am - Boys' Mile - 9-12 Years Old
7:05am - Girls' Mile - 9-12 Years Old
7:10am - Boys' Mile - 8 & Under
7:15am - Girls' Mile - 8 & Under
7:30am - 5K Wave 1 Start
7:35am - 5K Wave 2 Start
7:40am - 5K Wave 3 Start
Due to the size of the 5K race, we will be starting in waves. Wave 1 - Under 35 Minutes, Wave 2 - 35-45 Minutes, Wave 3 - Over 45 Minutes.
If you want to start in the same wave as your friends or family be sure to enter the same estimated finish time for each runner and select the same wave. Please use the estimated finish time of the slowest runner in your group.
Awards
Kids Mile - Top 3 Male and Female in the following categories:
6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12
5K - OVERALL - Top 5 Male and Female:
1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $150, 4th Place $100, 5th Place $50
5K - Top 3 Male and Female in the following categories:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+
All Awards will be mailed to Overall and Age Group winners. Overall Winners will be based on Gun Time. Age Group winners will be based on Chip Time.

FAQs
Q: Are strollers permitted?
A: Yes. You will need to start in the back of your starting wave with the other stroller participants.
Q: Are dogs permitted on the course or in the race?
A: No. Please abide by this rule and keep your furry friends at home.
Q: Is paper registration available?
A: No. Please register online and in advance. Online registration will still be available race morning, but we highly encourage you to sign up before race day!
Q: Can I run with my child in the mile race?
A: If your child is 4 years old or younger, one parent is permitted on the course during the mile race. We ask that you start in the back of the wave. For children 5 and older, parents can run on the sidewalk that parallels the race course.
