Race Options
Adult & Youth Innsbrook 1-Mile Run
As part of the East Coast Triathlon Festival (ECTF), Live Red Foundation hosts a 1-mile race for all ages (youth to adult) on Saturday evening at 4pm. This slightly rolling, flowy course will kick off the weekend festivities with a bang! Athletes will be sent off to blaze through the course and finish under the infamous ECTF finish line. Non-Draft Youth & Adult Age Group Triathlon and Duathlon Races
This race is a great introduction to open water triathlon with a fun, safe venue for all ages 5-adult including a shallow man-made lake and bike and run on closed office park roadways. The adult race is the 2025 VA State Championship. There is also a duathlon [run-bike-run] option for those not wishing to swim. Open to all levels!

U25 National Triathlon Development & U23 Elite Races
This event is a draft-legal event for ages 16+ (age on 12/31/24), and new this year, will be open to ALL ages! Though traditionally used as a way for athletes ages 16-25 to earn their elite license, all ages will have the opportunity to compete in this unique draft-legal format and earn their elite license by placing top 3 non-elite US citizen.
Draft-legal rules/equipment are required. The rules governing all Draft Legal Events that are Sanctioned by USAT are the USAT Multisport Competition Rules as highlighted in the 2023 USAT Draft Legal Equipment and Rules Checklist.
- Ages 16+: 375m swim; 10k (2 lap) bike; 2.5k (1 lap) run
Draft-Legal Youth / Junior Development Races
