Event Details
Join the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for their Annual K9 5K Run/Walk! This event helps raise funds for many of our community programs and the LCSO K9 Unit. Spring Creek generously provides the venue. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just getting started, this rolling 5K course with a downhill finish is a great way to challenge yourself while supporting an amazing cause.
Race Options:
✅ LCSO Spring K9 5K – In-person 5K Run/Walk
✅ LCSO Spring Kids’ ½ Mile – Fun run for children
✅ LCSO Spring Virtual 5K – Run anywhere between May 1 – May 30, 2025

📍 Packet Pickup:
Friday, May 23, 2025 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM – Early packet pickup at LCSO (1 Woolfolk Ave, Suite 101, Louisa, VA 23093)
Saturday, May 24, 2025 – Race Day packet pickup starts at 7:00 AM at Spring Creek Sports Center
🕖 7:00 AM – Race Day Packet Pickup Begins
🕣 8:30 AM – 5K Race Start
🕤 9:30 AM – ½ Mile Kids Race Start
🏆 10:00 AM – Awards Ceremony (Approximate)
🐾 10:15 AM – K-9 Demonstration (Approximate)
Virtual Race Details
For those unable to attend in person, participate in our Virtual K9 5K anytime between May 1 and May 30, 2025.
🏃♂️ Run anywhere, including a treadmill!
📸 Submit a photo of yourself with your bib.

Dog-Friendly Event Guidelines
🐶 All well-behaved dogs are welcome!
🔗 Dogs must be leashed (max 6’ lead, no retractable leashes).
💧 A water station will be available.
💩 Owners must clean up after their dogs.
🚫 Dogs are not permitted in the clubhouse.
🩺 All dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations.
⚠️ Event organizers reserve the right to remove aggressive or ill dogs. Owners assume full responsibility for their pets.
