VentureQuest Adventure Race

VentureQuest is a sprint adventure race that is held in Fairfax County just 30 minutes south of Washington DC.  The terrain is gorgeous and has a truly remote feel for being so close to a major metro area. Racers love the fact that they can compete in a challenging adventure race so close to home.  VentureQuest offers a 4-hour course and an 8-hour course.

VQ returns on Sunday September 20, 2020 to the Mason Neck Peninsula with a brand new course!!  VQ has challenged, rewarded, and inspired close to 3500 athletes in its 11 year history.  VQ is where is all began for EX2!

VentureQuest is a sprint adventure race where competitors are tasked with navigating to find a series of checkpoints, all while trekking, biking, and paddling the beautiful areas in and around Pohick Bay Regional Park. Solos and teams of two or three have the option of competing in the up to 4 hour sport course, or the up to 8 hour elite course. Neither are easy, but both are doable. There are also plenty of surprises, twists, and decision making in this race, all of which will cost or save time for each team.

Team members must travel together the entire race.  VQ is not a relay.  That’s part of the fun!  You’re team is as fast as your slowest teammate!  The best teams will work together and help each other to go fast as a team.
