The Vision 5k and Kids Fun Run will take place at Peaks View Park in Lynchburg, Virginia on Saturday 12/28/24.  A portion of the proceeds will be used to support programs at Onward Christian Academy. 

Onward, a K-12 homeschool hybrid model in Lynchburg, VA, is an independent Christian non-profit. We empower families and equip students, supporting parents in training their children while fostering a love for learning and academic success. Through traditional learning and hands-on experiences, students thrive, discover their gifts, and grow as well-rounded individuals ready to serve others and embrace education as a God-given gift.

Event Details & Locations
     Parking - Use the Ivy Creek Entrance for the closest parking options. 
     Packet Pick-up - Located in the small picnic shelter near the tennis courts. To expedite check-in please have your registration code pulled up on your smartphone.
     Start/Finish - Located on the pathway near softball field #5.

Registration
     $25 - Through 12/21
     $30 - 12/22 & 12/28 
     $35 - Race Day
     Kids Fun Run - free, but kids must register.

Race Amenities
     - The first 50 participants will receive an embroidered winter hat!
     - Chip timed with finisher text/email notifications.
     - Post race refreshments will also be available for all participants.
     - Each participant is eligible to win one of many door prizes (must be present to claim your prize).

5k Awards
In the form of gift cards and other offerings from local merchants.
     - Overall Male & Female
     - Highest ranking Male & Female according to age grade performance.
     - Top male and female in each age group which are broken down based off of entry information.

Rain/Snow Date
Every effort will be made to conduct the event on the scheduled date, however the rain/snow date is set for Sunday, December 29, 2024 In the event of a major storm threat, race management will notify all participants 24 hours prior to the event, specifically Dec. 27, by 9am. While we will honor refunds until 12/20, we will only honor race fee transfers to another participant after 12/20.
